Half Hungarian, half Belgian raised in Italy and born in New York, I went from NY to Brussels, Florence, Paris, Saint Tropez, Los Angeles then back to New York, then Brussels and now back in ITALY… The beginning of a new cycle. will it be Paris next? Got it all?
Since I started this blog, I have finished my cookbook, moved to a tiny mountain town in Italy and am working on the next chapter in my life, working in the beautiful town of L’Aquila. I am now back in school studying Naturopathy and counseling.
In a recent life, my husband and I owned a great Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, NY that was adored by press, media and customers alike. It still is and goes on strong with a new team of talented friends so go check it out Locanda Vini & Olii
Photographer extraordinaire and long time customer Richard Avedon once told me:
“Yours is the best restaurant in the world – And I have been all over the world” and he had. Thank you Richard.
My passion? Simple food made with love and very few ingredients.
My blog? Strictly Seasonal recipes and stories from the organic markets around Brussels, and now around my Italian mountain.
The aim? learning to love my body by feeding it efficient fuel, sharing fun ways to cook the best ingredients seasons have to offer and increasing your library of favorites.
(If you rather have a serious biography telling you how amazing I am as a Chef … and of course I am… google me).
Keep me around, you will find I am useful!
With love and an appetite,
